A CATSKILLS MUSIC VACATION EXPERIENCE!

The Weight Band with Special Guests

Music Masters Collective is delighted to announce and present Camp Cripple Creek, June 18-21st 2024, at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York (just a half hour west of Woodstock).

At Camp Cripple Creek, we’ll share our love for all the great musical traditions - rock n’ roll, country, folk, blues, jazz as they blend together to form the heart of American music.  The music of The Band, who played and lived not far away, and from which this gathering of musical spirits takes its name, provides a foundation on which we construct this beautiful, annual event.

Camp Cripple Creek promises to be both a once in a lifetime - interactive - educational -,music vacation experience... and a ton of wonderful fun.  We'are looking forward to hanging and playing with you at this magical event.

At Camp Cripple Creek we'll share our love for the music we treasure so deeply ~ with performances, interactive workshops, teaching clinics and songwriting explorations... accompanied by plentiful on-stage jamming with the attendees (you!), acoustic and electric jam rooms for all to join in on with backline equipment provided, open mics and song-circles around the campfires. So, if you're a musician, bring your instrument and learn from and jam with these grand masters. If you're simply a music lover, bring your good spirit! We plan to have a truckload of some Very Big Fun...

Full Moon Resort is a one hundred acre wonderland of fields, meadows and mountain streams - featuring country-inn style accommodations, luxury cottages, glamping, gourmet dining, a variety of beautiful barns, the artistically rustic Roadhouse  and the spectacular new Moondance Pavilion, home to scores of magical Music Masters Collective performances.

The event is anchored by host artist, The Weight, featuring members of The Band and The Levon Helm Band.  Jim Weider and Brian Mitchell represent a direct lineage to this penultimate Woodstock-era group.  Along with Albert Rogers, Michael Bram and Matt Zeiner, they  offer brilliant interpretations of this legendary music… as well as a powerful repertoire of great original songs.

An all star cast of luminaries joins in on the festivities, most all of whom have deep roots in history of The Band and Levon Helm's music projects.  Jimmy Vivino, legendary rock n’ roll and blues guitarist for some of the world’s greatest recording artists (including Levon) and bandleader for Conan O'Brien... Bob Margolin, storied guitarist for Muddy Waters, who played at the Last Waltz... Byron Isaacs, vocalist/bassist of the Lumineers and the Midnight Ramble Band who brings his project, The Lost Leaders to the camp... Chris O'Leary, frontman/singer for Levon's Barnburners... Cindy Cashdollar, Woodstock’s slide enchantress... Larry Packer, fiddler extraordinaire of Last Waltz fame... Randy Ciarlante, drummer for The Band... Rob Fraboni, engineer for the sound track for Martin Scorcese's film, The Last Waltz… Don LaSala, owner/historian of Big Pink and the Adirondack’s fabled Stony Creek Band, who have been firing up dance floors with their signature bluegrassy Americana for the past 50 years.  Wow!  What a line up!
